How do we help kids learn to see the world through another person’s eyes? There’s a group of folks dedicated to helping us all do just that.
They’re called Common Sense Media. This nonprofit is a 21st Century parent’s dream. It’s a site geared towards helping kids excel in the iEverything age. It’s full of tips, tricks, and advice on things like which websites are kid-friendly, how to start conversations about gender and body image with youngsters, or how to help them deal with disturbing news.
Kids get news frm many sources, which aren’t always correct, sometimes scary. How to talk abt the news + listen too: https://t.co/KcWoIYIjaa pic.twitter.com/hRDMZYVymh

They also offer book recommendations, with reviews on gems like Bully. Bully helps kids notice the impact of their words and teaches them that – wait for it – bullies have feelings too. Not what we expected either, but take a look. It’s a powerful message that happens to be a good read.
Needless to say, we love this stuff. Happy reading, kids.
We bet you know some parent’s who’d love to use Common Sense – share this piece!
