This is where you can pitch an unconventional idea and people will listen (or if you want to do the listening, check out Collins’ podcast.)
Collins is the former Dean of The New School’s Parsons School of Design and he thinks the fashion industry is giving us a pretty flat impression of beauty – and leaders of the fashion and design world agree. The solution? Youth.
FCD’s discussions revealed that millennials, with the help of blogs and social media, already have a new idea of beauty – and it looks a lot more like the world we actually live in, vibrant and diverse.
So, how do we help define beauty for the next generation? We don’t. They’re defining it for us.
