Successful Startup Saving Bees is Run by 11 Year Old Girl

Mikaila Ulmer, the 11-year-old behind Me & The Bees Lemonade, took the whole ‘kids selling lemonade thing’ and blew it wide open.

After turning heads on ABC’s Shark Tank, Whole Foods signed on to carry Me & The Bees across the country. Hit up one of their stores to taste Mikaila’s great grand-mother Helen’s flaxseed lemonade recipe, sweetened with local honey.

Mikaila’s response to the rise in sales: Cut the check!

In honor of her great-grandmother, Mikaila donates part of every Me & The Bees sale to protecting and preserving honeybees. When she’s not running her lemonade stand, you can find her heading workshops on how to care for honeybees.

Mikaila Ulmer, doin’ work and inspiring all of us.

Rise up! Hit share.
