A Punk Approach to Social Justice

Professor and dyed-in-the-wool punk rocker Mimi Nguyen wants to create a new kind of world—with a strong emphasis on ‘create’. She teaches Gender & Women’s Studies and Asian American Studies at The University of Illinois, and literally wrote the book on refugee life in the US. Basically, when something strikes her interest she throws herself at it hard.
