Millennials Have Redefined Beauty

Collins is the former Dean of The New School’s Parsons School of Design and he thinks the fashion industry is giving us a pretty flat impression of beauty – and leaders of the fashion and design world agree. The solution? Youth.

FCD’s discussions revealed that millennials, with the help of blogs and social media, already have a new idea of beauty – and it looks a lot more like the world we actually live in, vibrant and diverse.

So, how do we help define beauty for the next generation? We don’t. They’re defining it for us.
